WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST VISIT
Chiropractic first visits on average take 45-60 minutes including the check in process. Physical therapy first appointments are 1 hour and 15 minutes including the check in process.
Upon arrival, Reception staff will scan your insurance card, photo ID and completed paperwork into our electronic chart and have you sign additional forms needed to receive care.
If paperwork was filled out prior to your appointment you will be asked to wait in the lobby or staff will take you back into a treatment room or into the therapy gym.
If you would like to fill out paperwork at the office, you will be given a clipboard with the paperwork to complete in the lobby. Once finished, staff will scan in the paperwork into your chart and give to the doctor or physical therapist who you are seeing. Staff will direct you to either wait in the lobby or bring you into a treatment room or therapy gym.
Once in a treatment room or therapy gym, your doctor or physical therapist will take a medical history regarding your symptoms. They will then do an examination. The doctor or physical therapist will discuss any findings during the examination and discuss if x-rays are needed. Your doctor or physical therapist will prescribe a treatment plan and answer any questions you may have. Unless contraindicated, your doctor or physical therapist will provide the first treatment at your first visit.
